Big Rig Found Dead
Probably Britain’s most controversial carp, Big Rig, which resided in RH Fisheries, The Avenue, in Shropshire, has been found dead. The huge carp was caught twice, first by Tom Doherty at 69lb 3oz, then a short while later by Robbie Harrison at 71lb 4oz. The fish was never accepted as a British record, due to the fact it was reared in a stock pond then stocked into the fishery at a large weight. The fish that divided opinion within the angling community sadly passed away after spawning.
