PAG Fact Sheet

The increasingly influential Predation Action Group has released the 16-page Fact Sheet: Some Uncomfortable Truths About Predation. The document is aimed at providing facts and evidence to support the proposal that the UK’s fisheries and countryside face an ever-increasing threat from over-predation. The PAG believe the situation has become untenable, resulting in a very serious and widespread impact on several species of fish, with consequential impacts on other aspects of the UK ecology, the angling trade, and the rural and tourist industries.
One of the reasons for publishing the Fact Sheet is to make a body of evidence, detailing the impact of predation, more accessible to a wider public. The PAG hopes that the evidence presented in the Fact Sheet and on the film (included on the accompanying DVD) will influence the powers-that-be of the serious situation the environment is facing as a result of multi-level predation. If the Fact Sheet and DVD find their way into the hands of your MP (or Michael Gove) so much the better! A suggested draft letter is included with the Fact Sheet to go with any submissions to MPs and other organisations.
You can obtain your hard copy of the Fact Sheet, together with a copy of the DVD, by sending your name and postal address, together with a minimum donation of £6.50 (to cover P&P), to: PAG, Horseshoe Lake, Burford Road, Lechlade, Gloucestershire GL7 3QQ.
