Lifelong angler, Mike Smith, lost his father to a brain tumour in December 2015. Since then he has been trying to find a way to donate some extra money to Cancer Research UK. The end result is his JustGiving page, which you can open by using the following link: www.justgiving.com/Mikesmith123uk?utm_id=124

Mike doesn’t have a current target but plans to do it for as long as is necessary, resetting the account in accordance with JG rules, every third year. He has simply been converting the weight of his fish into pounds sterling and then donating it, over the past 12 months.

He has stated that if every angler chose to donate £1, that in itself would be an incredible achievement, but for those wishing to help out more, they can simply follow his formula of £1 per 1lb and 1p per 1oz.

He is hoping to make a massive difference, so if you are looking to give to a worthy cause, give him a look. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. They’ll never pass your details on, or send you unwanted emails either.
