Nash Tackle SkinLink | RRP: £9.99
Coated hooklinks have been around for a number of years now, during which time they have been developed from the very difficult to work with originals, to the super user-friendly materials we have nowadays.
New for 2018, Nash Tackle have introduced a brand new coated braid to their TT range called SkinLink. This revolutionary material utilises a woven Kevlar core rather than a standard braid. If you are thinking you have heard of Kevlar before, then you would be right, it is used in the construction of bulletproof vests, amongst other things. It is five times stronger than steel, so the abrasion resistance of the SkinLink is absolutely off the scale!
This super tough material is combined with an easy to strip outer coating. Despite it being relatively easy to remove the coating, it won’t break when tied, which has been an inherent problem of most coated braids in the past. The combination of the coating and the Kevlar core make SkinLink one of, if not the, fastest-sinking, coated hooklinks on the market. A section of SinkLink, with no hook, bait or anything else attached, will sink to the bottom like a brick, which is quite remarkable.
SkinLink is available now from all good Nash stockists. It comes in both semi-stiff and stiff varieties, in four breaking strains: 15lb, 20lb, 25lb and 35lb. There are three non-reflective colours available: Weed, Gravel and Silt, which all come on 10m spools priced at £9.99.
Nash Tackle - Bullet Mono | RRP: £19.99
There haven’t been too many products on the market that can lay claim to being legendary, but the original Bullet XT was definitely one of them. Thankfully, Nash have introduced a brand new version of this incredibly popular line, ready for anglers to use this summer. Due to advancements in technology, the new line has retained its legendary abrasion resistance and knot strength, yet been made much more supple. This makes the new Bullet Mono a better casting line than its predecessor and it now pretty much ticks all the boxes as the perfect all-round main line. The new mono is available in both green and brown, to suit everyone’s tastes. It is available in four breaking strains: 10lb, 12lb, 15lb and 20lb. Each 1000m spool is supplied with a set of instructions to get the best out of it and is priced at £19.99.
