The strains of summer

Small Plated.jpg

A by-product of this unbelievable spell of prolonged sky-high temperatures, has got to be a heightened sense of concern for the welfare of our quarry. Unfortunately, recent times have seen the country lose both one of its prettiest fish and also, one of its biggest!

First to succumb was St John’s most sought after resident, the Small Plated, whilst in more recent days, Vinnetrow’s Half Lin has also shuffled off this mortal coil.

We all know nothing lasts forever but with the forecast for continued hot weather and storms up and down the country in the next week or so, let’s hope they pass us by with little event and then we can all start moaning when everything returns to normal and it’s raining again!
