Vision | Kenwick 60ins overnight brolly

If you are after a practical brolly with sides, which won’t break the bank, then look no further than the Kenwick. It is ideal for hit-and-run sessions when you don’t want the hassle of erecting a bivvy, but need the protection and speed of this easy-to-erect shelter. The system features a removable groundsheet, side protection wings, storm sticks, 5,000mm hydrostatic head, 210D Oxford nylon fabric, and heavy-duty T-bar pegs.

On the bank, the pole-less system goes up in seconds, and there’s plenty of headroom from the central boss, so you can sit on your bedchair in comfort. Once pegged down, the supplied storm poles add rigidity to the whole system, which provides good coverage from the elements. Then it’s a simple task of Velcroing the lightweight groundsheet in place, and pegging down the front edge to keep it secure. It comes in a very neat and compact carry case, and the whole thing is relatively lightweight.

If you are an occasional brolly user, and don’t want to invest big bucks in a shelter of this style, then the Kenwick is perfect. It comes in at a penny under £70, and we class that as good value for money.
