Despite only having been a player within the UK for a little over a decade, Sonik have carved themselves a sizeable slice of the market. The Gravity XT only reinforces this fact. Sonik’s current goal has been to create the ultimate carp rod and this is the result. They are a lovely, thin blank featuring an understated style while still using top quality components.

It has been manufactured using the very latest aerospace-grade carbon fibre materials. The blank itself has a near parallel butt section, which promotes extra power through the cast, allied to a fast tip recovery which helps give greater accuracy when casting at range.

The CPT, or Continuous Power Joint, to give it its full name, helps improve performance both when casting and whilst playing fish.

The ultra-high modulus, low-resin carbon blank is finished with low-profile, black SIC50 guides, unique CNC contoured collars, an engraved butt cap and a hard-wearing, Lite-Ply 1K armoured carbon weave.

All the range have full-length, Japanese shrink rubber handles and come supplied with a set of neoprene tip, butt and guide protectors.

There are seven rods within the range, they are as follows: 10ft 3lb, 12ft 3lb, 12ft 3¼lb, 12ft 3½lb, 13ft 3½lb TC and there are two hybrid models that cover combined spod/marker work, in both 12ft and 13ft.
